Well.. it truly is winter out here! Yikes it's cold. Especially when you leave your front door and immediately your nose hairs freeze up! What a reminder that those pesky things still live in my nose! But even though it's cold, it sure is beautiful outside! The snow makes everything look perfect for Christmas and the clear blue sky shows off those awesome mountains! It was a little too cold for Makenna today, but we still managed to have a little fresh air downtown at the town's Christmas concert. Santa rode in on the Christmas train which is all decked out with Christmas lights. It was a fun thing to do.. we only lasted about 15 min outside because of the cold.
Cutting our Christmas tree down from one of the local mountains on the last day of November. Good thing we went out then rather than now in the cold!
Makenna is always redecorating the Christmas tree... and there really are not very many candy canes left on the bottom at all. She love giving them to daddy to help her eat..
Makenna had her first day of skiing on the ski hill last friday. She loved it when daddy helped her stand on the magic carpet to get to the top of the bunny hill. Then they started down and it was fun because she was safe between daddy's legs with him holding onto her.. but we figured she wasn't feeling how to ski that way.. So Troy took his skis off and walked Makenna up the hill about 20 feet, told Makenna to bend her knees and put her hands on them, and then she was off squealing down the hill with Troy running beside her! She was a little scared, but super proud of herself for skiing. We have it on video too so she's watched herself over and over again and is eager to go skiing again!
Here's Makenna learning to stand on her skis just in front of our house as Troy pulls her with her poles..
We are really looking forward to a Christmas with Makenna, now that she's two and is understanding so much more. It just gets more fun every year with kids!
Here's me at 8 months pregnant (34 weeks)... a bit bigger than with Makenna!
And some family pictures taken by our Christmas tree this year..

That is far too cold for me! You look great, hardly look pregnant! When is your due date? We are due Jan 31 and I'm pretty sure that's way to far away...hope you're feeling well!
Merry Christmas!
Sherri, you are so beautiful pregnant!
