We just came back from a road trip to Golden, BC. It was a nice road trip.. we took our time and enjoyed the scenery. We traveled north from Whistler on the Duffey Lake Rd. to Kamloops... and then on to Revelstoke and Golden. What a nice drive! This picture of Troy is beside Seton Lake on the Duffey Lake Rd right before Lillooet. The lake was bright greeny-blue.. beautiful!

In Kamloops we stopped to visit my friend Kim... and it happened to be her birthday!!!! Happy Birthday Kim! It was cool because we went to a restaurant, Kelly O'brien's that gives free birthday dinners and has pretty good food. If Makenna wouldn't have chosen to be so squealy dinner would have been really fun! It was nice to see Kim again... too long between visits! In Kamloops we walked around and found the 'pointless' bridge that encourages you to climb it's stairs because it's good exercise for you... although you could just go beside the bridge and cross the single train track faster without going over the bridge. Oh well, it was fun going over the bridge and reading the encouragements on the stairs: "Challenge yourself", "Finish Line just ahead", and "You made it to the top". Here are the pics:

The skyline was amazing for photos when we walked down by the Thompson River in Kamloops:

After Kamloops we made our way to just out of Revelstoke and found a spot to pitch our tent near the snow and a radio tower. It was a nice cozy squish with Makenna in the tent but we didn't get that much sleep with her sleeping next to us... Oh well. The next morning we took our time looking at Revelstoke and then drove on to Golden. We might be interested in moving to Golden if we get a good deal on a house. It seems like it could be a good place to invest in and it has all the outdoor adventures we love... like rafting, biking, skiing and more. But we'll what happens and what God has in store for us! So in Golden we looked at houses and checked out the area. We drove over to Lake Louise just for fun too. Here's our happy little snow baby.. she looks like a baby polar bear laying on the snow:

This is a frozen Lake Louise... not as nice looking as it is in the summer. Makenna had fun seeing all the new sights.

We spent a lot of time in the car! A little too much at some points, but we still had fun.. especially when we stopped and could take our seatbelts off. Here's a happy goofy Makenna standing backwards in her carseat:

I love this picture...

MMMM... yummy finger...

After camping another night in the car (it was snowing outside.. brrrr!) and getting the truck stuck on a snowy road... And at the end of our trip we went and stayed overnight at Gramma Lil and Grampa Stan's in Abbotsford. Makenna loves her great grandparents.. and man do we get fed and spoiled when we go there! Thanks Gramma and Stan! We love you.

So those are our adventures of the past four days... we had a nice relaxing time but it is nice to be home!..
